Web-Based New Student Admission Information System at Al-Munawwarah Islamic Boarding School

Abstract
New student admissions at Al-Munawwarah Islamic Boarding School rely on printed forms, physical documents, and separate data records. This process creates difficulties for applicants living outside the area and increases the committee's workload in verification and reporting. This study aims to design and develop a web-based admission information system that connects applicant services, committee administration, and management monitoring. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and a literature review. The system was developed using the Waterfall model and designed using the Unified Modeling Language. Implementation employed PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a MySQL database. The resulting features include admission information, registration forms, document uploading and verification, status checking, schedule management, religious entrance-test score recording, payment-status updates, and admission reports. Black-box testing of 30 documented scenarios showed that all outputs matched the expected results. These findings establish functional conformity within the tested scenarios, while performance, security, and user experience require further evaluation. The system provides an integrated admission workflow and a foundation for developing the boarding school's administrative services. Further development should address automated notifications, interface improvements, and payment integration.
