ANALYSIS & DESIGN OF A WEB-BASED TICKET ORDERING INFORMATION SYSTEM (E-TICKETING) AT AGATA BUNGO TRAVEL

Main Article Content

Abstract

Travel Agata Bungo is a land transportation service company that provides travel ticket booking services for the public. The existing manual ticket reservation process requires customers to visit the office or contact the travel operator directly to obtain schedule information and make reservations, making the process inefficient and increasing the risk of recording errors and scheduling conflicts. This study aims to analyze and design a Web-Based E-Ticketing Information System for Travel Agata Bungo to improve the efficiency of reservation management and provide customers with easier access to ticket booking services. The system was developed using the Waterfall software development methodology, which consists of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The application was developed using the Laravel framework as the PHP-based web development framework and MySQL as the database management system. System testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method to ensure that all system functionalities operate according to the specified requirements. The results of this study indicate that the developed system is capable of facilitating the management of customer data, departure schedules, ticket reservations, transactions, and report generation in a more effective, faster, and accurate manner. Therefore, the proposed information system is expected to improve operational efficiency and enhance service quality at Travel Agata Bungo.
