Archiving Policy
|
Research in Humanistic Futures of Education (RHFE) uses the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to support the long-term preservation of its published scholarly content. These systems establish distributed archival networks through participating libraries and institutions, helping ensure that journal articles remain available for continued access, preservation, and recovery when necessary. |
| DIGITAL ARCHIVING POLICY |
| 1 | Distributed Preservation Network RHFE supports digital preservation through the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS distributed archival networks. Participating libraries and institutions may create permanent archival copies as part of the journal’s long-term preservation, continuity, and content-recovery strategy. |
| 2 | Publisher Authorization Journal content preserved within the CLOCKSS Archive and Global LOCKSS Network is maintained with authorization from the publisher. This authorization may be provided through publishing agreements, written arrangements, or online authorization statements generated through the journal publishing system. |
| 3 | Preservation of Scholarly Content The journal seeks to preserve published articles, metadata, supplementary materials, issue information, and other scholarly records necessary to maintain the integrity and continuity of the academic record. |
| 4 | Access Continuity and Recovery Archived copies may be used to restore access to journal content when the primary publishing platform experiences technical failure, service interruption, data loss, or permanent unavailability. |
| 5 | Legal and Access Governance RHFE supports appropriate legal, technical, and governance arrangements concerning archived content, copyright holders, applicable jurisdictions, preservation responsibilities, and conditions of access within digital archival networks. |
