Main Article Content
Abstract
Advancements in information technology continue to progress significantly in the era of globalization, making it easier for the public to access and distribute information rapidly. The need for accurate and accessible information is also a crucial aspect in an organization, especially to support the dissemination of information regarding various activities carried out, including the process of registering new members. On the other hand, cultural and ethnic diversity in Indonesia is a national identity that must be maintained and preserved. One form of cultural preservation is evident in traditional dance arts, such as the dance arts that developed in Jambi Province. The Pelito Mudo Dance Studio in Merangin, Jambi, is one of the art studios actively preserving regional dance arts through training, coaching, and organizing performances. However, this studio still faces obstacles in disseminating information to the public, because the process of information distributing and member registration is still done manually, making it inefficient. To overcome this problem, a solution was developed in the form of a website-based digital media that has three main functions: information, management, and education. This website was designed using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method with a waterfall model. With the design of this website, it is hoped that the Pelito Mudo Dance Studio can improve operational efficiency while expanding the reach of information to the wider community, both inside and outside Merangin.
