Vox Populi: Journal of Community Service is an academic publication focusing on the results of community service work in general and from various fields of study. This journal contains various activities in the community that address and manage the potential, obstacles, challenges, and issues present in the community. The implementation of community service activities also involves the participation of the community and partners. These service activities are designed with the aim of improving the welfare of the community. Vox Populi is published twice a year, in January and July.

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mencegah dan memitigasi potensi konflik agraria di Kelurahan Pamenang melalui edukasi hukum kontrak jual beli tanah dan pelatihan mediasi bagi aparatur kelurahan. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari tiga tahapan utama: persiapan, pelaksanaan berupa penyuluhan dan pelatihan partisipatif, serta evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan literasi hukum secara signifikan pada warga, khususnya terkait pemahaman syarat sah perjanjian, pentingnya beralih dari perjanjian lisan ke perjanjian tertulis, dan urgensi pendaftaran hak atas tanah melalui Pejabat Pembuat Akta Tanah (PPAT). Selain itu, aparatur kelurahan berhasil diberdayakan melalui simulasi mediasi sengketa, sehingga mampu bertindak sebagai penengah yang netral dan kompeten dalam memfasilitasi penyelesaian konflik di luar pengadilan. Pengabdian ini menghasilkan sebuah pemahaman komprehensif yang mengintegrasikan kesadaran hukum masyarakat dan kapasitas kuratif aparatur, guna mewujudkan stabilitas dan kepastian hukum pertanahan di Kelurahan Pamenang.
Optimizing Google Services for the Digitalization of Organizational Activities: Implementation at KIPAN

Digital transformation in organizations supports the acceleration of organizational change in managing their activities. One of the platforms that facilitates this process is Google Services, which enables integrated collaboration, communication, and data management. This community service program aims to optimize the use of Google Services to support the digitalization of organizational activities at KIPAN (Kader Inti Pemuda Anti Narkoba) of Jambi Province. The method employed was a participatory-perceptual approach through training, socialization, and hands-on practice involving 11 core administrators of KIPAN. Data were collected through field observations and analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques. The results showed that 91% of participants had a very good understanding of the material presented, 73% were able to align the material with practical application, and 36% were capable of developing tasks and innovations using Google Services. These findings indicate that the program was effective in improving participants’ digital capacity, although further mentoring is still needed to strengthen innovation aspects. Overall, this program contributes to strengthening organizational capacity through the systematic use of digital technology.
Implementation of Phonology-Based Tahsin Al-Qur’an at Majlis Taklim Nurul Khasanah, Simpang Limbur Merangin Village

This community service article describes the implementation of tahsin Surah Al-Fatihah through a phonological approach aimed at improving the accuracy of Qur’anic recitation. The activity was conducted at MT. Nurul Khasanah RT 01 with fiveteen participants who were actively involved in Qur’anic learning. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, recitation practice, and documentation. The phonological approach focused on articulatory accuracy, sound differentiation, and pronunciation awareness according to makhraj and sifat al-huruf. The results show that threeteen out of fiveteen participants experienced significant improvement in their recitation accuracy after the tahsin session, particularly in vowel length, consonant articulation, and sound clarity. This program demonstrates that integrating phonological principles into tahsin activities effectively enhances Qur’anic reading quality and linguistic awareness among participants.
Strengthening Disaster Mitigation Management for the Community and Primary and Secondary School Students at the Sigerincing Waterfall Site

The Sigerincing Waterfall area, which is part of the Merangin Jambi UNESCO Global Geopark, has high potential for geological and tourism resources, but is located in an area prone to natural disasters such as floods, landslides, and earthquakes. This condition necessitates systematic efforts to enhance community capacity in disaster risk reduction. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of community-based disaster mitigation management strengthening in increasing community awareness and preparedness in the geopark area. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach thru educational activities, socialization of the early warning system, participatory discussions, and field visits to the Indonesian Tsunami Early Warning System (ITEWS) facilities. The subjects of the activity include village officials, school personnel, the local community, and early warning system operators. The research results show that disaster mitigation activities are able to increase participants' understanding of potential hazards, early warning mechanisms, and the importance of local wisdom's role in disaster risk reduction. In addition, this activity also strengthens cross-sectoral coordination in building a sustainable disaster-aware culture in the geopark area. Thus, strengthening community-based disaster mitigation management is considered effective as a model for disaster education in disaster-prone areas.
Strengthening Village Regulations (Perdes) Based on Local Wisdom in The Management and Protection of Forests in Tanjung Mudo Village

Tanjung Mudo Village has abundant forest resources and inherits local wisdom values in maintaining its ecosystem. However, environmental degradation and the influx of external influences threaten forest sustainability and dilute these traditional values. This community service activity aims to strengthen the capacity of village officials and the community in establishing legal instruments in the form of Village Regulations (Perdes) on Forest Management and Protection based on local wisdom. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) through the stages of socialization, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), legal drafting assistance, and public testing of the draft Perdes. The results of the service showed an increase in village officials' understanding of harmonizing national regulations with customary law. The resulting draft Perdes includes conservation zoning, prohibition of illegal logging, utilization of non-timber forest products, and the application of customary sanctions integrated legally and formally. In conclusion, strengthening village legal products that accommodate local wisdom has proven effective in empowering the community while ensuring sustainable protection of natural resources, creating a strong synergy between positive law and local community traditions
